Context: This eLearning course explores the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and instructional design in medical education. The course aims to empower healthcare professionals and educators with the knowledge and skills to leverage ChatGPT, an advanced AI language model, for enhancing their medical teaching practices.

Challenges: Medical educators face various challenges in effectively and efficiently creating engaging and effective educational content for their learners. They need to simplify complex concepts, develop interactive case studies, provide meaningful feedback, facilitate peer collaboration, and improve patient communication skills. Additionally, they seek ways to optimize content creation and script writing processes to save time and effort.

Solution: To address these challenges, I designed and developed this course, which provides practical guidance on using ChatGPT to revolutionize instructional design in medical education. Participants will learn how ChatGPT works, its underlying principles, and its potential applications in their field.

The course offers a step-by-step educational journey that equips learners with the necessary skills to utilize ChatGPT effectively. It includes developing effective prompts tailored to specific needs, extracting high-quality content from ChatGPT, and integrating AI-generated content into their instructional materials.

To ensure a holistic learning experience, the course materials include ChatGPT prompt templates, practical examples, screen recordings showcasing content generated by ChatGPT, and thought-provoking assessment activities. Context: In today's digital age, online education has become increasingly prevalent, and the demand for engaging and effective educational animations and explainer videos is on the rise. This eLearning course equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to create compelling educational content in the form of animations and explainer videos.

Challenges: Producing high-quality educational animations and explainer videos can be challenging, especially for individuals without prior experience or expertise in animation and instructional design. Understanding learning theories, instructional design concepts, and the technical aspects of animation software can be daunting. Additionally, identifying the most effective ways to engage learners and deliver educational content through animations presents its own set of challenges.

Solution: This course provides a practical and accessible solution for learners seeking to create exciting and impactful educational animations and explainer videos. Participants will delve into learning theories, instructional design concepts, and educational technologies that can be applied to animation development. Through hands-on activities, assignments, and real-world examples, learners will gain practical experience in storyboarding, script development, and creating engaging scenes for animations or explainer videos. By the end of the course, participants will have the necessary tools and knowledge to produce captivating and effective educational content across a range of learning contexts.

MedEd Gamification: Elevating Learning with Poll Everywhere

Context: Engaging medical education (MedEd) learners through innovative strategies is essential for enhancing knowledge retention and interactive learning.

Challenges: Traditional teaching methods in medical education often fail to captivate learners and promote active participation. There is a need for tools and techniques that can transform passive learning into an engaging experience.

Solution: I designed and developed this course to revolutionize medical education through the power of gamification. This module teaches how to leverage gamification principles, effectively utilize Poll Everywhere, and align engaging activities with learning objectives. The course includes various interactive elements such as flip cards, clickable labeled graphics, matching activities, and quizzes to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.

Canvas at Stanford

Context: Effective onboarding to Canvas is essential for faculty and course directors at Stanford who will be managing their short-form (8-week long) courses. The course is designed to familiarize them with the platform's various features and tools.

Challenges: Faculty members often face difficulties in navigating and utilizing Canvas effectively, which can impact the quality of course delivery. Providing comprehensive and engaging training that accommodates their busy schedules is essential.

Solution: To address this challenge, I spearheaded the design and development of the "Canvas at Stanford" course, an engaging, Stanford-themed onboarding course for faculty and course directors. This course provides an overview of the platform's features and tools, including tutorials and resources, ensuring that faculty can manage their courses efficiently. I managed an intern who assisted in the development of this course.

Benefits of Diversity in the Workplace

Context: Building a diverse and inclusive workplace is critical for organizations looking to improve. The benefits of diversity include increased creativity and innovation, improved, decision-making, increased market appeal, and increased employee satisfaction.

Challenges: Many organizations struggle to create a diverse and inclusive work environment and may not fully understand the benefits of diversity in the workplace. It can be difficult to implement changes that foster diversity, particularly in the face of resistence from employees or leadership.

Solution: To address this challenge, I have developed a short eLearning course using Articulate Rise 360. This course is designed to help people understand and embrace four key benefits of diversity in the workplace.

Escape the Room: A 360-Degree Critical Thinking Experience (Gamified eLearning)

Context: The growing trend of virtual escape rooms has provided a new platform for experiential learning, where participants are tasked with solving puzzles and riddles to escape a virtual environment.

Challenges: Developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in virtual escape rooms can be a challenge.

Solution: To address this challenge, I have developed a virtual 360-degree room using Articulate Storyline 360. The escape room is designed to challenge participants' problem-solving and critical thinking skills as they navigate through a virtual kitchen, living room, and other areas. The escape room features riddles and puzzles that require participants to find objects and use clues to escape. The escape room is interactive, allowing participants to click on objects and receive feedback as they progress.
